-
Equal Pay and Gender/Race/Ethnicity Rules
-
Minumum Wage Increases and the State of Federal Salary minimums
-
Exempt and Salaried Employee Requirements
-
Rest and Meal Period Developments
-
National Origin Discrimination Guidelines

Leaves of Absence and Disability Accommodation
-
Department of Fair Employment and Housing and Labor Commissioner Procedure

Local Entity Enforcement of Employment Laws
-
Changes in the Janitorial Industry
-
Independent Contractor Issues
-
I-9 Process and State Law
-
Prevailing Wage Requirements
We will explore these changes and what to expect in this new year - and possibly new era. We'll cover new laws, the current focus of state and federal employment agencies, important new court cases and strategies for compliance. We also plan to to discuss criminal and civil penalty enforcement against employers and vindividual managers.
